Luigi Ferini Strambi

Professor Luigi Ferini-Strambi is the head of the Sleep Medicine Center at the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in Milan and a Full Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Psychology of the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan with a specialization in Neurology. In 1984, he embarked on a research period in the United States as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Sleep Disorders and Research Center of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Author of numerous scientific articles and chapters in national and international books, he boasts an H-Index score of 79 (Scopus) and 96 (Google Scholar). Additionally, he serves as a Field Editor for the journal Sleep Medicine and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, as well as being a member of various Scientific Societies, including the European Sleep Research Society, the European Academy of Neurology, and the American Academy of Sleep Disorders. He held the position of President of World Sleep Medicine Association from 2015 to 2017.
