Professor Massimo Filippi is the director of the Neurology Unit, the Neurophysiology Service, the Neurorehabilitation Unit and the Center for Alzheimer Disease and Related Dosorders (CARD) at the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital. Additionally, he is a full professor of Neurology and the director of the Neurology Residency School at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, where he also serves as the President of the Physiotherapy Degree Course, and a member of the Steering Committee of the Interfaculty Center for Gender Studies. Filippi graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1986. He later specialized in Neurology at the University of Milan (1990) and in Neurophysiopathology at the University of Pavia (1994). Author of over 1300 peer-reviewed scientific publications, with a total H-index of 163 (https://topitalianscientists.org/TIS_HTML/Top_Italian_Scientists_Clinical_Sciences.htm), and more than 200 book chapters, Professor Filippi is a member of important scientific societies such as the Italian Society of Neurology, the European Neurological Society, and the American Academy of Neurology. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Neurology serves on the Editorial Board of numerous international scientific journals.
