Marco Strano

Marco Strano, psychologist and criminologist, is considered one of the world’s leading experts in investigative psychology and criminal profiling. He is president of the Study Center for Legality, Security and Justice and scientific director of the prestigious international association of criminologists and forensic experts I.F.C.T. based in Bellinzona. He currently coordinates the Lie Detection Lab in Rome, which for several years has been experimenting with the most effective techniques to detect lies both through the instrumentation in is equipped with (lie detectors, Voice Stress Analyzers, thermal imaging tehcnology, etc.) and through “non-intrusive” methods of behavior observation. He has worked with the Behavioral Science Unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Training Division at Quantico on a research project on intuitive policing under the auspices of the American Psychological Association.
