Giuliano Boccali (1946), was a full professor in the scientific-disciplinary sector L-OR/18 “Indology and Tibetology” and taught Indology and Sanskrit Language and Literature. He decided to concentrate exclusively on this field of study more than thirty years ago, after a long period of activity mainly dedicated to Indo-European linguistics and in particular to Iranian Philology, a discipline he taught for about fifteen years, in Venice as a lecturer (1973-1983) and then in Milan as an associate professor (1983-1987).
