He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the State University of Milan and has been Visiting Professor in more than 20 universities in Europe and the United States. As a neurosurgeon, he has performed more than 9,000 procedures in the areas of Functional Neurosurgery, Neurosurgery of endocrine Intracranial and skull base and Spinal tumors, and Vascular Neurosurgery for arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). He founded Cyberknife Radiosurgery in Milan and is a consultant neurosurgeon at IRCCS Galeazzi.
