Full Professor of Technical Sciences of Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florence. He served as research manager at CNR and head of the “Biotechnology” project. His motto is “from bench to bedside”, that is how to apply laboratory research to patient care. For this reason, he has synthesized NGF mimetics to treat ischemic injury (cerebral ischemia and ischemic heart diseases), and in AD, some corneal, and skin diseases. See
