Graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Milan and specialized in Pharmacological Research at the Mario Negri Institute, Milan. The team she leads studies treatments to help the brain recover after injury, be it a stroke or a trauma. Her daily work focuses on understanding how and why brain cells die in order to find ways to interfere with toxic mechanisms and to “repair” damaged cells. See CV complete.
