A medial doctor, psychiatrist and Doctor of Psychology. He is currently Vice-President of the Bachelor’s Degree Course in Clinical Psychology Sciences and Techniques and of the Master’s Degree Course in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Pisa. He directs a multidisciplinary laboratory dedicated to the study of multi-organ interactions within the Extreme Center of Pisa (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, CNR, and University of Pisa). He is a member of the faculty of the “Centre de Recherche et d’Innovation sur le Sport (CRIS)” of the Claude Bernard University of Lyon, France (since June 2004). He has received several international research grants for research projects on stress in extreme environments, and has published over 50 papers in international journals. See CV complete.
