He is director of CRESA – Research Center in Experimental and Applied Epistemology, at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University where he teaches Philosophy of Science, Cognitive Economics and Neuroeconomics. He works with the Cognitive Neuroscience Center and the Division of Neuroscience at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. His research work investigates the neurobiological basis of human rationality through the study of the neural correlates of decision-making processes in economic and financial contexts, with particular attention to the role of emotions, regret, fear, loss aversion and social learning.
