Luca Pani

A psychiatrist, he coordinated for over ten years a group of over 30 researchers developing innovative drugs at the Science and Technology Park of Pula in Sardinia. Author of about a hundred papers in international journals, in 2007 he moved to the University of Miami, in the United States. A few years ago he was recalled by the Italian Government to be part of the Committees for the Approval of Human Medicines and for Scientific Advice of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) where he was subsequently elected to lead the very small group that designs the strategies and IT programming of the 28 Regulatory Agencies throughout Europe, one of which (the Italian Medicines Agency = AIFA) has been directing since mid-November 2011.See Full CV.
