Director of the Neuroscience Laboratory of the IRCCS Istituto Auxologico Italiano, University of Milan, a Branch of the Dino Ferrari Center. Since 2002 Prof. Vincenzo Silani is Full Professor in Neurology at the University of Milan. A graduate in Medicine and Surgery, he specialized in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Milan (cum laude). He spent a long training period in the USA first at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and then at Columbia University in New York focusing on basic neuroscience. An expert in in vitro human neural models, he has shown a profound interest in staminology, transplantology and, more recently, genetics in relation to neurodegenerative disease. See CV complete.
