Antonio Cattaneo

Antonino Cattaneo is Professor of Neurobiology at the Scuola Normale di Pisa since 2008, where he serves as the head of the BioSNS laboratory. He also leads a research team at the European Brain Research Institute. He served as ìthe Institute’s Scientific Director. The general objective of his research, published in over 160 international papers, is to understand the mechanisms of neurodegeneration and to develop new therapeutic approaches based on these mechanisms. His research was initially inspired by the studies conducted by Rita Levi-Montalcini and Cesar Milstein.See CV complete.
