The 2013 BrainForum was dedicated to Rita Levi Montalcini, 1986 Nobel Prize winner and Senator for life, one year after her death. A scientist who, with her passion, dedication and consistency, is an example for all those who dedicate themselves to scientific research.
Rita Levi Montalcini’s research on NGF is still very topical and is being studied all over the world with the aim of finding therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.
The BrainForum was attended by the Nobel Prize winner Aaron Ciechanover and Napoleone Ferrara, Lasker Prize, Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences, together with other internationally renowned scientists who accepted our invitation to remember the great Italian scientist and the extraordinary and still innovative scope of her research her.
