Elio Scarpini is the head of the Neurodegenerative Diseases Departmental Unit of the Maggiore Policlinico Hospital, IRCCS Fondazione Cà Granda, University of Milan, which has also a diagnostic-therapeutic approach for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and a research laboratory that studies the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying the development of these forms of dementias. Professor Scarpini teaches Neurology for the Master’s Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, and to date has published more than 250 scientific articles in international journals.
