Eilon Vaadia is Professor Emeritus of Physiology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is (Former (Founding) Director of ELSC (2009-2016.He investigates the neuronal mechanism on which learning and memory processes rest and his translational studies have led to innovative clinical applications in brain-computer interfaces. Vaadia, one of the founders of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Neural Computation (ICNC) in Jerusalem, has been co-director of the European International School of Computational Neuroscience and a member of international academic committees of brain research centres in Germany and Japan.
